We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care for service users with intellectual disabilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in the management and delivery of direct care and will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure that care is client-focused, person-centred, and compliant with HIQA regulations. As a Staff Nurse, you will also provide clinical and professional leadership to the care team and contribute to the development and implementation of service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide clinical nursing care, ensuring the highest standards of care for service users with intellectual disabilities.
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the care team, ensuring compliance with Rehab Group standards and HIQA regulations.
* Collaborate with the Service Manager in planning and delivering person-centred care in a respite service setting.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the health and social care sectors.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing records and contribute to care planning.
* Ensure the service environment is safe and supportive in line with organizational and legislative requirements.
* Act as a clinical leader, supporting and mentoring care staff to deliver high-quality care.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Formal Education / Training:
* Full registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* RNID (Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability) qualification or a minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Work Experience:
* Previous experience in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* Proven experience in maintaining a safe and compliant environment for service users in line with HIQA and legislative guidelines.
* Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality nursing care and maintaining nursing records.
* Experience in developing and managing relationships with stakeholders in health and social care.
