We are looking to speak with ambitious Azure Cloud Engineers to support our client with the design, deployment & management of cloud solutions in their Azure Environment.
The ideal candidate will be ambitious and focused on the delivery of strategic objectives to ensure that cloud infrastructure is optimized for performance, cost & security.
Key Responsibilities / Outcomes
* Build and improve Azure infrastructure through infrastructure-as-code practices.
* Contribute to feedback and improvements across the different platforms that the DevOps team manages, including security and observability practices.
* Contribute to .Net products that the DevOps team owns and potentially new greenfield products that are in our future roadmaps.
Day to day responsibilities include:
* Review Pull Requests from other team members.
* Take ownership of key Azure platform components and/or .Net products and build them to high standards.
* Participate in design and review sessions with other DevOps engineers, developers and technical stakeholders.
Key Skills, Experiences & Competencies
* Strong backend C# background.
* Experience with infrastructure as code – we use PowerShell and Bicep.
* Experience with Azure from a software development perspective, services like AppService, AKS, Cosmos, Azure SQL, Application Insights.
* Experience with modern CI/CD practices and pipelines – we use GitHub Actions.
* Experience with modern Persistence platforms: Azure SQL, Cosmos, Azure Data Explorer.
* Experience with strong telemetry stacks and having software estates producing strongly typed instrumentation events that then drive observability and business metrics and dashboards – we use Log Analytics and Application Insights.
The following skills would be an advantage for the role:
* Exposure to Kusto Query Language and Log Analytics – our current telemetry stack where we sink all Azure Active Directory events.
* Exposure to Docker composition and Kubernetes+DAPR to host modern .Net applications.
Qualifications
* 5+ years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer.
* Diploma/Degree in information technology or equivalent work experience.
