Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards, ensuring all safety measures are in place and adhered to.
* Provide health and safety training and inductions for new and existing staff, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for preventive measures.
* Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Liaise with site management, contractors, and regulatory authorities to coordinate health and safety initiatives.
* Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, incidents, and inspections.
* Stay updated with new legislation and best practices, incorporating changes into the safety management system.
Experiences and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH).
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and procedures.
* 3+ years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably in construction or a similar industry.
