Job Description
We are hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing to a Leading Nursing Home in Galway, Ireland.
Job Types and Schedule
* Full-time, Permanent position with an 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
1. Ensure the best possible rehabilitation care is provided in accordance with HSE and HIQA rules.
2. Oversee and administer the rehabilitation center's new HSE contract, ensuring all related policies and procedures are followed.
3. Guide nursing and care personnel while promoting a culture of ongoing development and progress.
4. Evaluate and implement person-centred approach by supervising customised rehabilitation care programs.
5. Help maintain high-quality rehabilitation services by assisting with training and personnel levels.
6. Collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams, and outside stakeholders to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
* A registered general nurse (RGN) who is currently registered with the NMBI.
* Five years or more after registration, with at least two of those years spent in a management or leadership position in a nursing home, rehabilitation centre, or other comparable healthcare environment.
* Strong familiarity with pertinent laws, HSE regulations, and HIQA standards.
* Prior experience in contract management, especially with the HSE, is highly desirable.
* Understanding of rehabilitation concepts and procedures is beneficial.
* Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
* The capacity to work effectively with various stakeholders.
