Applications are sought for the Ad Astra Fellow - Assistant Professor of Antibacterial Resistance within the College of Health and Agricultural Sciences.
The position is a strategic priority of the UCD Schools of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, building on recent research in S. Aureus pathobiology and current recruitment for an Assistant professorship in clinical microbiology.
Key Areas of Focus
* Fundamental mechanisms underpinning antibiotic resistance to other antimicrobials
* Development of new pharmacologic approaches to treat infectious diseases leveraging endogenous antimicrobial agents, including lipids and peptides
Appointment Details
The appointment will be made on a specified salary scale, in accordance with Department of Finance guidelines.
Hours of work for academic staff are those prescribed under Public Service Agreements.
