The Role and Responsibilities:
1. General Administrative Duties
2. Day-to-day office duties, e.g., correspondence, post, typing, Dictaphone typing, faxing, photocopying, filing, etc.
3. Logging all enquiries/telephone calls, complaints, etc. Prioritising same, dealing with queries, keeping supervisor/manager informed of progress and activities.
4. Assist in the drafting and issuing of letters, memos, and general information to internal customers, clients, and the general public.
5. Populate, maintain, and update local databases and records.
6. Work closely with all functions within the service to deliver planned services of your department.
7. Have an understanding of the Child and Family Agency and how it works.
8. Understand how your department impacts service users.
9. Understand how neighbouring departments and functions must combine their efforts to achieve optimum service levels.
10. Use knowledge of the organisation’s structures and traditions to help achieve results.
11. Act in a manner that is consistent with the organisation’s values and vision.
