Location: Tullamore, Co.Offaly
Medforce are seeking qualified Social Care Workers with experience in working with children, young adults, and challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
* Shift Coordination: Plan and coordinate daily shifts and rostering arrangements within the unit.
* Supervision: Oversee Social Care Workers and ensure effective guidance and support for the team.
* Administrative Oversight: Manage all administrative procedures related to in-house cash and payroll.
* Child-Centered Care: Address the primary care needs of each young person and contribute to stimulating activity programs.
* Record Management: Maintain and update relevant records and files and provide written reports for reviews and case conferences.
* Safety and Advocacy: Ensure the rights and responsibilities of children are respected, preventing any forms of abuse, including bullying.
* Therapeutic Approach: Develop and maintain a therapeutic environment, focusing on individual and group work with young people and their families.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in a residential setting
* CORU Registered desirable
* Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
* Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and risk management.
* Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners, including social work departments and healthcare providers.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic team.
