We are looking for a motivated Graduate Engineer to join our dynamic team and gain hands-on experience, and develop technical and commercial expertise across multiple engineering functions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Supporting maintenance strategies to ensure maximum reliability and performance of electro-mechanical systems. Assisting in project execution, from planning and design to implementation and optimisation. Contributing to commercial activities such as tendering, quotations, and procurement support. Collaborating with different departments to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency. Developing and implementing key processes that enhance performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tendering, Quotations & Reporting Analytics
o Gain experience in preparing quotations and tenders for engineering projects and services.
o Assist in cost estimation, technical documentation, and compliance with client requirements.
o Support data analysis and reporting to aid decision-making and performance tracking.
2. Project Support & Implementation
o Contribute to engineering projects across water, wastewater, and industrial site services.
o Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery.
o Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and clients to develop and implement engineering solutions.
3. Compliance & Safety
o Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry regulations and health & safety standards.
o Participate in training sessions on safety procedures and risk assessments.
o Support quality assurance initiatives to maintain high service standards.
4. LEAN Process Development & Operational Efficiency
o Analyse current workflows and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
o Implement LEAN principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
o Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
5. Plant and Equipment Maintenance Processes
o Assist in developing and standardising preventive maintenance schedules.
o Work with maintenance teams to optimise equipment reliability and performance.
o Implement condition monitoring and predictive maintenance strategies.
6. Equipment Maintenance & Technical Support
o Support the maintenance, repair, and servicing of electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, and generators.
o Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in rotating and electrical equipment.
o Work alongside experienced technicians to develop hands-on skills in mechanical and electrical repairs.
7. Procurement and Ordering
o Support the procurement team in streamlining ordering processes.
o Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality.
o Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of critical components.

Graduate Programme
Our bespoke Graduate Programme will allow you to grow professionally and develop skills to assist you in delivering high quality Mechanical and Electrical Projects. You will work alongside a diverse, supportive team of electro-mechanical experts to gain experience in industries including Pharmaceutical, Blue Chip companies, Water and Waste Water.
Our Graduate Programme is open to Graduates of Electrical, Mechanical, Mechanical and Manufacturing, and Process Engineering. Our Programme is best suited to those who are willing to live our culture and our company values while exceeding expectations.
Programme Length: 2 years (Duration is split between the Engineering Department and Workshop Department)
Essential Requirements:
* 2.1 in relevant Engineering Diploma/ Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Mechanical, Electrical, Process or Industrial Engineering.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in industrial maintenance and reliability.
* Strong interpersonal and organisational skills – Adaptable and flexible, solution-driven.
* Knowledge of LEAN methodologies and process optimisation is an advantage.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a hands-on approach to learning.
* Proficiency in data analysis and high efficiency in Microsoft Office & related software tools.
* Ability to produce high quality, informative reports is key.
* Excellent Time Management and Prioritisation Skills are essential.
You will learn through:
1. Hands-on responsibility for projects with support from your fellow colleagues and managers.
2. Formal and Informal technical training on repair, install, maintenance and supply of electro-mechanical equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes etc.
