We’re hiring for a Senior Management Accountant

We are recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant to assist the Financial Controller and the wider Ireland finance team in managing all aspects of audit and compliance, transactional finance, management accounts, and transformational projects.
Overview of duties
1. Assist the Financial Controller in the review of the accuracy and reliability of statutory accounts, taking full ownership of the process.
2. Participate in the coordination of the statutory audit for all Irish entities within the NFP entities in Ireland.
3. Assist in the preparation of Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) returns, VAT, corporation tax calculations, and P30 returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
4. Assist in the review and approval of accounts payable transactions and ensure weekly payment processes are efficient for all Irish entities.
5. Oversee payroll operations, ensuring alignment with budgets and facilitating changes as needed.
6. Conduct payroll analysis, providing insights into variances and ensuring budget compliance.
7. Assist with the annual budgeting process within the business unit, providing insight and analysis into key year-on-year movements.
8. Support and manage the financial control processes across the business.
9. Monthly income reporting, reconciliation, and income forecasting.
10. Responsible for reporting financial performance for your business line including the production and reconciliation of monthly management accounts, both P&L and Balance Sheet.
11. Involvement in ad-hoc projects as required.
Person specification
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
1. Well-organised and self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
2. Good communication skills and ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels.
3. Accurate, with an eye for detail and ability to question everything from a financial perspective.
4. Technically competent.
Education and/or experience:
1. Fully qualified accountant with three years’ experience within the financial services industry.
2. Degree level or equivalent educational qualifications.
3. Strong numerical and analytical skills.
4. Experience with accounting software such as Workday, Oracle, or SAP is an advantage but not a necessity.
5. Experience working towards tight deadlines in a fast-paced financial services organisation.
6. Proven business partnering skills.
Key information:
Hours: Monday - Friday, 35 hours
