PPL Biomechanics was founded in Cork in 1996, by Podiatrists to provide multi-disciplinary health care professionals with preventative, science-backed solutions to improve people’s mobility and daily lives. PPL is the leading manufacturer and supplier of lower limb medical devices to Private and HSE Clinics and Hospitals in Ireland.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced, visionary and dynamic leader to join our management team as CTO (Head of Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Technology). This role is an opportunity for an experienced leader to drive and lead digital transformation projects across all aspects of an SME business. The company recently migrated to an encrypted cloud & managed services and now plans to invest in further upgrading our digital technology and systems in line with our strategic plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive digital transformation strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
* Lead the innovation agenda, identifying and pursuing opportunities for technological advancements and process improvements.
* Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance business processes, customer experiences, and operational efficiencies.
* Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that can provide a competitive edge and drive business growth.
* Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.
* Oversee the development and implementation of IT policies, standards, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance and risk management.
* Ensure the IT infrastructure is robust, scalable, and capable of supporting the organization's strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of innovation professionals.
* Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
* Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies to protect the organization’s data and IT assets.
Skills, Experience and Competencies:
* 10+ years’ senior management experience leading and managing projects, working with external partners and our internal teams.
* A strong track record of success in developing, implementing, and delivering IT strategy.
* Proven experience in IT operations, system management, and strategic planning.
* Successful on-time delivery of a broad range and scale of IT projects to budget.
* Strong data protection and cyber security background.
* Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
* A people leader, able to set out a vision and plan, and bring employees on the change journey.
* Flexibility and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, demonstrate resilience and be comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity.
* Accomplished at identifying and mitigating risks.

Pay: €50,000.00-€100,000.00 per year
