CONFERENCE & EVENTS SALES MANAGER, ALOFT DUBLIN CITY HOTEL:
We are on the lookout for a highly competitive and dedicated Conference & Events Sales Manager to drive an exciting new Conference Suite project opening in Q2. This state-of-the-art meeting suite featuring the highest spec Conference and Delegate Tech will be the newest and most exciting addition to the Dublin Conference Market and we are looking for the right person to drive this exciting project.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, responsibilities will include proactively selling to the local corporate market along with conference agents and DMCs. If you have excellent communication skills and do not shy away from reaching out to potential customers, we would like to meet you.
Located in the heart of The Liberties, Aloft Dublin City is one of Dublin’s uniquely styled hotels. Our hotel consists of 202 bedrooms, expanding meeting space, gymnasium, F&B outlets together with an on-site Gastro Pub. The 7th floor, complete with floor to ceiling windows boasts panoramic views of the entire city and is where the reception and F&B outlets are located.

JOB SPECIFICATION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Reporting directly to the General Manager.
* To sell the company’s products and services by expanding contacts and forging relationships with prospective clients, both B2B and B2C.
* The remit of this role includes but is not limited to the Aloft Dublin City Hotel Bedrooms, Meeting Space and F&B outlets including Tenters Gastro pub and its products and services.
* Maintain and execute a live prospecting list of potential new business across all market segments including MICE, Corporate & Leisure via weekly cold calls.
* Meeting sales KPI’s whilst developing cold calls into warm leads with a follow up appointment.
* Proactively use Business Intelligence Tools provided by the property to support prospecting activities.
* Provide weekly and monthly reporting on sales activity, KPI updates and customer feedback as required by the General Manager.
* Engage and embrace all Marriott sales tools, training and company ethos.
* Conduct Site Inspections / Fam Trips and entertain clients where required – this could also include evening and weekend work.
* Contribute to the overall Market share KPI as set out in the annual budget and commercial plan.
* Deliver outstanding customer service.
* Maintain solid relationships with new and existing customer with dedicated Account Management.
* Be prepared to attend industry events and trade shows that may require domestic and international travel.
* As a key stakeholder in the commercial team, ensure full collaboration with other key stakeholders and an active contribution to the annual commercial plan.
* Develop strong partnerships with organisations local to the property to further increase brand/product awareness.
KEY ATTRIBUTES:
* Previous Hotel Sales experience strongly desirable.
* Corporate & MICE sales experience preferred.
* Excellent Presentation Skills desirable.
* Ability to report and communicate at all levels.
* High level of English required.
* Basic Negotiation skills advantageous.
* Prospecting skills (cold call and face to face).
* Ability to demonstrate creativity in delivering sales activity essential.
* Passion for Sales.
* You must be available to currently live and work legally in Ireland in a full-time capacity.
This role may be the initial point of contact for the customer with the property and therefore sets the tone of the customer’s expectations - you are considered an ambassador for the property, both forward facing and internally.
