In partnership with our client, one of Ireland’s leading insurance brokers, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Handler for their Galway and Dublin Offices.
Our client provides a comprehensive insurance broking service to all business sectors and professions, covering the full range of commercial and personal general insurances.
Key Responsibilities:
* Service a portfolio of commercial customers to retain profitable existing business and generate new business.
* Provide day-to-day service to existing clients by issuing renewals, conducting renewal comparisons and market research, finalising insurance placements, and updating and issuing policy schedules and documentation.
* Collect and submit any additional information required by underwriters and follow up to ensure placement of the risk.
* Accurately input all information into Applied Relay and ensure file notes are clear and concise.
* Handle ad hoc customer queries and requests, including mid-term adjustments, claims reporting, etc.
* Maintain an up-to-date diary management system to ensure all outstanding items are actioned and closed out within the required timeframes.
* Maintain good file management and documentation to ensure compliance with all legal requirements, Central Bank codes, and the company's procedures and business ethics.
* Stay ahead of insurer updates, parameters, and risk appetites.
* Assist and provide support to the Team Leader or Account Executive as required.
Experience / Skills:
* Minimum of 2 years broking experience.
* Good knowledge of commercial insurance product ranges across various markets, including:
o Commercial Property
o Employer’s Liability & Public Liability
o Professional Indemnity
o Commercial Fleet
* Strong customer knowledge and understanding of their business.
* Strong organisation and administration skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Clear and comprehensive understanding of the regulatory and legal environment.
* Strong IT skills, with previous experience of Applied Relay being desirable but not essential.
* Excellent customer service and organisation skills with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
