Your mission Keep the communal areas clean and to a high standardComplete a cleaning schedule for any communal areasRegular Health and Safety checks on communal areas and raise or address any issues appropriatelyIdentification and reporting of repairs and hazards, order repairs as needed and monitor if necessaryGrass cutting, hedge pruning, plant maintenance, weed killer treatments and minor planting in communal areasTo liaise with external agencies as requiredTo undertake minor repairs as specified (e.g.
: lock changes, small plaster repairs, painting & decorating, carpentry repairs etc.
)To carry out set procedures as directed for the removal of domestic wasteTo work with any refuse contractors to ensure waste is removed correctly, raise any issues with Housing Officer over refuse company performanceTo report abandoned vehicles on schemesAttend/Request training appropriate to your roleTo positively promote the Association in all activitiesAny other duties which are consistent with your roleTo arrange skips and the removal of bulk rubbish when requestedTo be aware of the presence of vermin, raise any issues with Site Manager and monitor vermin control contracts where neededTo monitor the works of service contractors and repairs works carried outTo carry out checks on fire safety and security equipment as directedChecking all lifts and phone entry systems Who are we looking for? A minimum of two years' similar experienceGood level of general DIY repairs skillsAbility to deal with outside agencies regarding deadlines, costs, quality controlProblem solving skillsFull Current driving licenceManual HandlingAwareness of Health & Safety regulations and proceduresAbility to prioritise daily workloadAbility to work effectively with people from a wide range of levels and responsibilitiesWorks effectively as a team memberAbility to carry out physical labour aspects of the role What's in it for you?
