Position Overview The Mechanical Engineer in the R&D team will focus on the design, development, and testing of innovative cooling systems for data centers. This role requires a solid background in mechanical engineering, strong problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will contribute to advancing cooling technologies to address the growing demands of data center operations. Primary Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of new products.Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides.Provide engineering support during the production and implementation phases of new cooling solutions.Participate in design reviews and drive continuous improvement efforts within the R&D team.Work closely with the R&D lab to conduct performance testing and validate prototypes, recording results and refining designs based on outcomes.Assist with prototype assembly to gain practical insights and drive design enhancements.Key Competencies Proficiency in HVAC system and component knowledge.Extensive experience in mechanical system design, particularly in an OEM environment.Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.Excellent skills in documentation, project management, and organization.Hands-on experience in prototype development, testing methods, and data analysis.Expertise in sheet metal and piping system design.Familiarity with process cooling water and refrigeration system design (highly desirable).Proficiency in SolidWorks.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.A minimum of five years of experience in mechanical design and development.
