OPERATIONS MANAGER - ROSCOMMON

As the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for driving the success of their business, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring profitability while maintaining safety and compliance.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to lead and inspire a diverse team, including staff, volunteers, and program participants, while fostering their growth through ongoing training and development. You'll also take charge of product development, production, and marketing of the upcycled textiles, ensuring the products are high-quality, sustainable, and ready for market.

Growth & Development
1. To proactively support and contribute to the development and growth of the social enterprise.
2. To build a strong customer base, reputation, online and social media presence, and outcomes for participants.
3. To build positive working relationships with all stakeholders of the social enterprise.
4. Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment for all staff, volunteers, and participants with opportunities for progression and development.
5. Develop and execute projects, ensuring they align with the organisation's mission, vision, and goals in liaison with Management, including Sales & Marketing Plans.
6. Monitor and report on the environmental impact.
7. To operate the social enterprise in a compliant, profitable, and safe manner at all times.
8. Responsibility for accurate and concise reporting of the service, its deliverables, referral data to funders, and to the Board of Directors.
9. Continue to develop the Lean Business model finding effective and efficient ways of working.
Leadership & General Management Duties
1. Lead the team including creators, trainees, and volunteers providing guidance, creative direction, sales, and marketing.
2. To be a constant and consistent mentor for participants, staff, and volunteers.
3. Support a culture of continuous learning, creativity, and problem-solving – supporting the development of skills that open up opportunities for further employment for participants.
4. Providing support and supervision to staff.
5. To maintain confidentiality on all matters relating to staff, volunteers, participants, and organisational general business.
6. Be a fully participating member of the management team, working with colleagues to identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and improvement.
7. Champion equality and diversity as a cornerstone of good practice.
8. To be flexible and adapt to achieve optimal social, financial, and business results.
9. Be responsible for quality and compliance including policy, training, HR, engagement, and safeguarding.
10. Build a loyal and diverse customer base and a motivated and engaged workforce.
11. To maintain a systematic and timely approach with recording systems & requirements.
12. To work in line with all of the organisational policies and procedures.
Finance Management and Reporting
1. Responsibility for monitoring budgets and preparation and accuracy of monthly financial reports to management, board, and funders.
2. Responsibility for preparation and submission of periodic reports to Funders in line with Contract requirements.
3. Responsibility for organising fundraising activities as required.
Meetings & Networks
1. Hold regular team meetings with staff, volunteers, and participants.
2. Meet regularly with Project Manager to review progress, issues, concerns, finance, and to discuss and plan the development of the Social Enterprise.
3. Attend supervision and performance monitoring with Manager.
4. Attend Quarterly team meetings.
5. Liaise and co-operate with other organisations and agencies locally and nationally where necessary to ensure effective service delivery.
Marketing & Sales & Quality Control
1. Create an effective marketing strategy with timeline and key dates over an annual period, working to maximise effectiveness and impact.
2. Manage the procurement and inventory of textile materials for upcycling projects.
3. Oversee the quality control process to maintain high product standards.
4. Responsibility for safeguarding, security, and risk management relating to Social Enterprise ensuring that compliance activity is carried out and recorded.
5. Actively promote and report on the social, economic, and environmental impact internally and externally.
Other Duties
1. To attend and participate in training as required and participate proactively in personal development and the supervision process.
2. To carry out all duties with reasonable care & act as First Aid Responder as required.
3. Perform all other duties as may be from time to time be requested by management and which are consistent with your job and responsibilities.
