Part Qualified Accountant
Location: Dublin City Centre
Our client, a leading provider of innovative reinsurance solutions across the US, Asia, and Europe, is seeking a Part Qualified Accountant to join their team in Dublin City Centre.
As a Part Qualified Accountant, you’ll join a vibrant team, supporting the preparation of financial, statutory, and regulatory reports. You’ll work closely with senior managers, contributing to key decision-making processes and board-level reporting. This hybrid role offers flexibility, allowing you to split your time between the office and remote work.
Your Role
1. Assist in preparing quarterly and annual regulatory returns in line with group and local requirements.
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis.
3. Contribute to the preparation of board reports, providing insights on variances between results and budget.
4. Coordinate with internal and external audit teams to ensure accurate reporting.
5. Adhere to internal controls and compliance in financial reporting processes.
6. Provide monthly and quarterly management reporting, including variance analysis.
7. Assist with various ad hoc financial reporting tasks as required.
Your Skills
1. Strong numerical skills with a good understanding of accountancy principles.
2. Part-qualified accountant with a solid understanding of career progression in accountancy.
3. Previous experience in a life insurance or life reinsurance environment is advantageous.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to plan, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
6. Strong academic background, ideally in a numerical discipline such as Accountancy, Economics, or Statistics.
7. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with SAP experience a plus.
8. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
