Leadership Role in Dublin City Centre
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Management Office (PMO) Lead to join our organization in a contract hybrid position based in Dublin city centre. As the PMO Lead, you will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and motivation to the PMO team, maintaining and developing project management standards, managing project frameworks, and ensuring effective and robust project delivery.
Your role will play a crucial part in supporting the organization to achieve its strategic ambitions within a challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Impart project management standards and knowledge to the PMO team through leadership and guidance.
* Manage the framework for creating, managing, and completing projects.
* Ensure methodologies, standards, and dependencies are in place for project design.
* Monitor progress and assess day-to-day workings against predetermined KPIs to ensure effective project delivery.
* Create and manage a master plan integrating major programs of work and maintaining a dependency log.
* Provide line management and integrate with the Portfolio delivery team.
* Establish and manage risk frameworks, including Earned Value Management (EVM) and budget management.
* Manage and compile program-related financial and KPI information.
* Oversee project costs and ensure effective financial management.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
* Project management certification.
* Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar PMO leadership role.
* Good knowledge and experience of industry-standard best practice Portfolio and Program Management.
* Proficient user of MS Office suite, MS Visio, and MS Project.
* Experience in PPM tool application and support.
* Strong skills in creating and maintaining project and program plans, including risks, actions, issues, and dependencies.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills for reports and presentations.
* Knowledge of benefits and dependency mapping, risk management, and resource planning.
