A key financial client is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. Based in Killorglin, Co. Kerry, with flexible hybrid work, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and innovative environment within their technology division.
The successful candidate will design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure, driving the company’s cloud strategy while ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cloud Architecture & Strategy: Design secure, scalable cloud solutions aligned with business goals.
2. Cloud Migration: Lead migration from on-premises to cloud environments, selecting appropriate tools and partners.
3. Infrastructure Management & Security: Optimize performance, manage costs, and implement robust security and disaster recovery measures.
4. DevOps & Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to integrate solutions and establish standards.
5. Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial industry regulations and IT security standards.
Required Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
2. 4+ years of hands-on engineering experience in public cloud environments.
3. Expertise in platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
4. Certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, GCP) preferred.
5. Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless computing, and DevOps practices.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
