Amicus Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for a Senior National Account Manager with a leading FMCG Multinational. Why this company? It’s the brands; the autonomy you will be given but most importantly people in the Business - although my client is part of a massive FMCG organisation, the Irish Business is relatively small and they can draw on resources whilst also having a lot of freedom to make their own decisions.
I had a really good meeting with Stephen the Country Manager - Stephen has been with the Business for over 10 years – He is a massive sell to the role. Their offices are based in South Dublin and you will be expected to be in the office for 3-4 days a week. Stephen said, “Denis, whilst some of our sister companies are struggling with the threat of private label we are the opposite! In the last 2 years we have experienced phenomenal growth - we have some of the best in class activations and partnerships in place (i.e., we have a collaborative partnership with the GAA for example) but there is still a lot of white space with our customers and we can never rest on our laurels.”
The office culture has definitely contributed to our success and Finance, supply chain, marketing are constantly asking questions of each other - as you know some of the team have been with us a long time and I am extremely proud of my team – indeed being in the office saves time and not having a lot of Teams calls! Yes, there is some flex there too. I personally give the team a lot of autonomy and the exciting element is the resources we can draw on from global, the success we have obtained and partnerships we have in place. Also just to note Targets are fair and attainable and full bonuses have been paid out. I really enjoy it here as I see a pathway for career progression and there is consistent NPD and I am always learning - and I like to see the team challenge me and challenge thinking.”
This role comes with a bonus - circa 10-15% - company car but just to note there will be 3-4 days in the office. This is a gem of an opportunity and for this role, you must have domestic FMCG Account management experience - ideally with one of the Retailers - and be eligible to work in Ireland.
