Our client, a leading real estate advisory firm, is hiring an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic and fast-paced Accounts team. This role supports the Residential Lettings business, working closely with property managers, procurement teams, finance colleagues, suppliers, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process monthly rent and charges in line with lease agreements, manage tenant receivables, and handle account adjustments.
2. Monitor and manage tenant arrears, meeting with clients to review outstanding balances and actions.
3. Ensure invoices are approved according to work orders, onboard suppliers in line with compliance procedures, and resolve invoice discrepancies.
4. Communicate with suppliers, handle queries, and perform monthly creditor statement reconciliations.
5. Generate monthly reports, support the creation of annual budgets, and assist with general reporting.
6. Systems Management.
7. Work closely with lettings managers, finance teams, contractors, and procurement teams to resolve queries and disputed accounts.
Required Skills & Experience
1. Experience in managing high-volume financial transactions.
2. Strong understanding of accounting processes, including tenant and operational management.
3. Prior experience in the Residential Lettings & Property Management sector is advantageous but not essential.
4. Familiarity with tenant portals and maintenance management systems.
