Job Objectives
We are seeking applications for the role of Maintenance.
This role includes:
* Completing repair orders for general repairs as requested.
* Notifying management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
* Performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
* Maintaining adequate levels of spares, stock, and supplies, ensuring effective forward planning.
* Undertaking repair and maintenance tasks to a high quality, including plumbing; joinery and carpentry; painting/decorating; maintenance of lighting, and required statutory testing.
* Understanding and responding to health and safety matters in an appropriate and timely manner.
* Moving furniture and heavy items from location to location on site as required.
* Ensuring all common parts of the Low Secure Unit site, including refuse and recycling facilities, are frequently inspected and maintained to the highest standards of repair and cleanliness.
* Ensuring the gardens and grounds maintenance to the property are well maintained, clean, tidy, and hazard free.
* Demonstrating safe behaviours in accordance with company, property, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards by immediately reporting any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, employee/visitor/patient injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to appropriate individual(s).
* Identifying areas for improvement, offering suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity, and implementing ideas that achieve operational excellence.
* Complying with company's safety/security rules and instructions in performing work efficiently.
* Participating in a rotational on-call system.

* 1 year's previous experience in a similar role.
