Process engineer

Process Engineer

Duties:

* Collaborate with the senior process manager and stakeholders to understand current processes and identify areas for improvement.
* Assist in designing and implementing process improvement initiatives, including streamlining workflows, eliminating waste, and increasing productivity (e.g. preparation and documentation of plant trials).
* Support the development of process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials for new and revised processes (e.g. results from HAZOP, root cause analysis of incidents).
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of process changes and monitor their impact on KPIs (e.g. Management of Change processes).
* Assist the EHS/Q manager in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, e.g. Risk Assessments. Prepare the documentation for HAZOP reviews and related safety studies.
* Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in process management to contribute innovative ideas for continuous improvement.

Experience Required:

* Bachelor's degree in Natural Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Prior experience in process management, research, chemical manufacturing or related roles is preferred.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and proposed practical solutions.
* Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in work deliverables.
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
