Your future role
Could you be the full-time onsite Programme Commercial Manager in Cork, IE we’re looking for? Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive commercial management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll play a pivotal role in the management of a large project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Finance, Engineering, Procurement), and provide commercial and contract guidance.
We’ll look to you for:
1. Maintaining a high standard in all areas in accordance with Alstom Policies and Procedures.
2. NEC forms of contract, and the ability to manage contract administration, including contract communications, change control, variation/compensation event assessment, valuation/certification, contract remedies and contract close out.
3. Achieving financial targets and managing budgets effectively.
4. Influencing and challenging budget holders, ensuring financial planning is supported.
5. Optimising margin on a project while protecting the project from commercial risk.
6. Fostering support, relationships, and adherence to procedures.
7. Training and development of staff to enhance team capabilities.
8. Ensuring compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.
9. Providing support and assistance to the Regional Commercial Manager & Project Director.
10. Representing the commercial interests of the company and avoiding disputes.

1. Experience of managing and leading a large infrastructure project.
2. Ability to guide and mentor teams.
3. Knowledge of contract negotiation and risk management.

5. Familiarity with financial reporting and budgeting.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
7. Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
