We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of housing retrofit projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, with a focus on sustainability, energy efficiency, and compliance with retrofit standards. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of retrofit projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed surveys of sites for new retrofit installations, assessing the existing infrastructure and identifying any potential challenges.
2. Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations for retrofit projects. Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation through completion.
3. Initiate and maintain strong relationships with key points of contact including homeowners & SEAI inspectors, providing homeowners with updates and addressing any concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Lead cross-functional teams of contractors, operatives, electricians & plumbers to ensure smooth project execution providing clear communication and direction to team members.
5. Monitor and evaluate project progress including insulation, HVAC systems, windows, and renewable energy installations. Ensuring these meet quality standards and project goals.
6. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance records, and corrective action plans. Provide feedback to project teams on areas for improvement.
7. Ensure all retrofit projects comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards & local frameworks.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science or alternatively an Electrician, Plumber, Carpenter, or another trade - desirable but not essential.
2. Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency standards, and building regulations is desired.
3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a proactive and results-driven attitude.
5. Proficiency in field management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. The ideal candidate must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of their work is meticulously reviewed and accurate. This role requires careful analysis of processes and materials, with the ability to spot inconsistencies, errors, and areas of improvement.
7. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
