About the Role
Job Summary
This is a full-time care worker position in a residential service setting. The successful candidate will provide personal care services to individuals with intellectual disability and mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate and implement a person-centered service appropriate to the needs, wishes, and requirements of service users.
* Provide personal assistance in all aspects of personal care and manual handling, ensuring comfort and hygiene of service users and adhering to safe practice at all times.
* Actively participate in educational, recreational, and occupational programmes enabling service users to integrate with their local community and access local resources.
Requirements
* Minimum of QQI Level 5 in Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
* Training in responses to behavior that challenges and medication management.
* Experience of supporting people with disabilities in a person-focused approach to service delivery.
* Experience of facilitation, implementation, and review of Support/Care Plans.
* Experience of working within a HIQA registered service.

Salary
The salary for this role starts at €29,374.77 and increases to €33,489.47 based on experience and qualifications.
