About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team in Dundalk. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with adults with physical and sensory disabilities to enhance their communication, swallowing, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy assessments, interventions, and treatments tailored to the needs of adults with physical and sensory disabilities.
2. Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver integrated, person-centered care.
3. Manage a caseload independently, ensuring timely assessments, reports, and intervention plans.
4. Support adults with communication and swallowing difficulties (FEDS) and implement evidence-based therapy techniques.
5. Deliver training and education to families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.
6. Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and confidentiality.
7. Participate in service development initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided.
8. Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and clinical supervision.
Essential Requirements
1. Registered (or eligible for registration) with CORU as a Speech & Language Therapist.
2. Dysphagia qualification and experience are essential.
3. Full drivers license and own transport to facilitate home visits as required.
4. Experience working within adult disability services or rehabilitation settings.
5. Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
6. Ability to work effectively and professionally both independently and within a team.
7. Compassionate, client-focused approach to therapy.
