Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be an experienced vehicle servicing and diagnostics technician, capable of producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Your Responsibilities:
* Perform tasks efficiently and accurately, adhering to dealership and Volkswagen standards.
* Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts and inform the workshop manager if a vehicle is awaiting parts or requires special ordering.
* Determine the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs after confirming authorization with Service Advisors.
* Save and tag all parts for warranty or customer requests.
* Conduct vehicle health checks to identify additional safety or service work required.
* Notify Service Advisors about needed additional work, non-required work, or repairs that cannot be completed within promised time frames.
* Road-test vehicles to spot-check performed work.
* Stay updated on Volkswagen technical bulletins and attend factory-sponsored training classes.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Skills & Education Required:
* Newly Qualified Technician with completed apprenticeship
* Ability to complete job card write-ups with thorough understanding of factory standards for warranty write-ups
* Good communication skills and ability to explain additional work required to Service Advisors or customers
* Previous experience working with Autoview environment is advantageous
