We are presently recruiting a Mechanical Design Coordinator for our client who is an international leader in Climate Control for the HVAC Industry. The successful candidate will be based in offices on the Cork / Kerry border within easy commute from both Killarney and Macroom. You will oversee the seamless execution of HVAC system design projects and will offer support to the sales teams relating to design and quotations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Selection of AHU design on our in-house selection software to meet customer requirements.
* Coordinate HVAC design projects from inception to completion, collaborating with engineering and architectural teams.
* Develop and manage project schedules, tracking milestones and progress.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in HVAC designs.
* Review and approve HVAC design documents, drawings, and specifications.
* Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals.
* Address technical challenges by liaising with engineers, designers, and clients.
* Monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and procurement of materials.
* Conduct site visits to assess HVAC installations and provide technical support.
* Participate in post-project evaluations and contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Ideally, a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or 3rd level qualification in a building services or similar technical engineering discipline is highly desired.
* Good mechanical reasoning and spatial reasoning.
* Knowledge of CAD Drawings such as AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent.
* Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy and quality in designs.
* Problem-solving aptitude to address HVAC-related challenges.
* Ability to manage time-sensitive projects and meet deadlines.
* Understanding of building systems and construction processes.
* High level of attention to detail with ability to initiate and drive projects with little supervision including Organising, Prioritising and Managing time effectively.
