As a Data Manager, you'll oversee the development and use of data systems, ensuring that data is accurate, available, and secure. Key responsibilities include establishing data quality standards and implementing data privacy policies to ensure compliance with regulations. You will be tasked with designing and deploying efficient data management strategies, optimizing data collection procedures, and facilitating data accessibility for analysis and decision-making processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan
o Oversee data governance initiatives, ensuring data quality and integrity across the organization.
o Develop and enforce data standards, policies, and procedures. Develop a data strategy aligning with the organization's goals and objectives.
o Oversee the design and implementation of data architectures and systems, ensuring they support the company's business needs.
o Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and standards, such as GDPR or CCPA.
o Oversee the security measures in place to protect data assets from breaches or cyber threats.
2. Execute
o Implement tools and processes to monitor, clean, and enhance data quality. Address data-related issues and work with different departments to rectify them.
o Promote data-driven decision-making within the organization. Oversee the deployment of analytics tools and platforms, ensuring that the company extracts valuable insights from its data.
o Ensure that data from disparate sources and systems can be seamlessly integrated and used. Oversee data migration, transformation, and integration projects.
o Promote a data-centric culture within the organization. Provide training and resources for staff to improve data literacy and competence.
o Collaborate with various departments, understanding their data needs, and ensuring they have the right tools and data to function effectively.
3. Deliver
o Build and manage the data team, which may include data scientists, analysts, architects, and database administrators. Oversee the budget and resources for data-related projects and initiatives.
o Facilitate the adoption of "Data Analytics" methodologies, ensuring data's optimal use for actionable insights. Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to prioritize data-driven projects and outcomes.

* 6+ years in data management, Data Analytics, or similar role.
* Strong experience of data governance and creating data policies.
* Relevant industry experience in defining and establishing data management strategies and implementations.
