Job Description:
Volunteer Photographers required nationwide
Use your amateur or professional photography skills to offer the gift of remembrance to families bereaved through stillbirth or neonatal loss.
Would you like to take the most meaningful photographs imaginable? Do you have an interest and skills in photography and in using those skills to help people in their most difficult days?
NILMDTS Ireland provides the gift of remembrance photography to families all over Ireland who have been bereaved through stillbirth or neonatal loss. These photos, and the experience of having them taken, provide comfort and solace to families.
Volunteer Photographer Role
* Attend at the hospital or home setting to take portraits of the baby and their family (sessions normally take around 30-45 mins).
* Gently edit the images in black and white and share these precious portraits with the parents. (We are also very open to photographers with less or no Photoshop skills as we have a digital retouch team who can support this element).
Full training and support will be available, as well as a mentorship relationship with one of our experienced photographers.
Fuel and parking expenses can be claimed back.
There is no minimum time commitment for this role; you would be placed on the contact list for your area and then contacted when a session is required. We understand that you will not always be available.
Strong photography skills in working with difficult light situations and posing are required. A caring, empathetic nature and the desire to use your photography skills in the most meaningful way imaginable is our main criteria.
Please note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy you might need a work permit.
