Purchasing Assistant
We are a wholesale hardware distributor supplying a range of agricultural, gardening, household electrical and DIY products throughout Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing, and delivery charges to achieve optimal cost efficiencies.
* Optimize inventory levels to avoid stock shortages and minimize excess stock.
* Analyze and respond to business and supplier inquiries in a timely manner.
* Develop accurate forecasts to prevent stock issues.
* Investigate and resolve any stock discrepancies.
Requirements:
* Strong planning and forecasting skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Able to think critically and solve problems effectively.
* Effective team player with negotiation skills.
* Proficient in IT systems.
