The Danish National Genome Center (DNGC) collects data on Danes' genomes in a secure national infrastructure, makes analyzes and data available to doctors, researchers and patients, and promotes new knowledge about personalized medicine at home and internationally. The goal is to make Denmark one of the leading countries in the field for personalized treatment and prevention of serious and life-threatening diseases. Your working day with us
As a cyber security analyst at NGC, you help to ensure security in our national infrastructure for personalized medicine. Depending on your profile and skills, you may work with setting up security systems and collectors. There is also the opportunity to work more focused with analysis, reporting and knowledge sharing.
Primary tasks:
* Participation in decisions about the design of log and security solutions for monitoring, analysis and reporting.
* Monitoring and management of logs, continuous detection and monitoring of threats, and active search for potential risks.
* Assist in the handling of security incidents by collecting, analyzing, and sharing knowledge about Indicators Of Compromise (IOCs) with other actors in the healthcare sector.
* Evaluating the results of unbiased security and vulnerability assessments.
* Liaison to the decentralized cyber and information security unit in the Danish health sector.
* Reporting to NGC's cyber, information security and data protection committee.
Education, experience and personal qualifications
You have at least two years of relevant work experience and a deep understanding of technology and cyber security. You work analytically and structured, and you are able to report effectively to both technicians and management. You have a medium or higher education, for example in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Technology or IT security.
We expect you to have:
* Experience with monitoring and management of logs, continuous threat detection and monitoring, and active search for potential risks.
* Experience with setting up one or more of the following types of systems:
o SIEM or other analysis systems, e.g. Log point.
o Vulnerability monitoring, e.g. Nexpose, Tenable.
o Network monitoring, e.g. Vectra or Muninn.
* Experience with query languages, regex, or programming languages.
* Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
* Good communication skills orally and in writing in Danish or English.

We have a flexible work organization with the option of working from home 1-2 days a week.
About the employment
Terms will be based on the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Danish Federation of Professional Associations (AC-overenskomsten) or according to the relevant professional association, if you are not covered by AC-overenskomsten.
The employment is conditional on security clearance after an investigation by the Police Intelligence Service (Polities Efterretningstjeneste), and that you maintain the clearance throughout the employment.
