Role Overview
As a Sustainability Graduate at Designer Group, you will be at the forefront of driving real change, actively shaping our ESG strategy and sustainability initiatives. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in data collection and analysis, sustainability reporting, and regulatory compliance, playing a key part in ensuring alignment with CSRD requirements. You will collaborate with teams across the business, gaining exposure to industry-leading sustainability practices while developing critical skills in carbon accounting, ESG performance tracking, and policy implementation. Key Tasks & Responsibilities
* ESG Data Collection and Analysis
o Gather, analyse, and interpret data related to environmental, social, and governance metrics as per CSRD guidelines.
o Support carbon accounting and emissions reporting, ensuring alignment with the GHG Protocol and CSRD guideline.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date ESG records and databases ensuring compliance with relevant reporting standards.
* Sustainability Reporting
o Assist in preparing comprehensive sustainability reports in line with ESRS, and other relevant frameworks.
o Ensure timely and accurate reporting to meet regulatory and stakeholder requirements.
* Policy and Strategy Development
o Support the development and implementation of ESG policies and procedures.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into business operations.
* Stakeholder Engagement
o Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive ESG initiatives and enhance sustainability awareness through workshops and training.
* Research and Compliance
o Stay informed about emerging ESG trends, regulations, and best practices.
o Ensure compliance with relevant environmental and sustainability regulations and standards.
o Assist with research on sustainability trends and innovations.
Requirements
Education: Graduate with a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Candidates with coursework or experience in ESG reporting, data analysis, or sustainability strategy will have an advantage.
Skills:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and standards, such as CSRD, ESRS, CDP and GHG protocol is desirable.

* Demonstrated interest and foundational knowledge in sustainability, climate, and ESG topics through academics, work, or extracurricular activities.
