The Key Account Manager Role
This is a non-supervisory director level position that supports the Vice President of Customer Relations and Contracting in developing strategies and maintaining vital relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, payers, PBMs, pharmacies, wholesalers, and other vendors.
Highly visible to senior leaders, responsible for high-dollar contracts, and opportunities to implement procurement strategies that impact the bottom line of a U.S. Fortune 7 organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers
* Understanding client needs and meeting those requirements through our manufacturer partnerships
* Securing, maintaining, and negotiating pharmaceutical manufacturer contracts
* Developing and implementing strategies to improve value of manufacturer partnerships
* Working closely with Cordavis teams to ensure client needs are met and manufacturer issues are promptly resolved
* Evaluating contract agreements and documents for execution
* Monitoring executed agreements to ensure parties comply with contact terms
* Working with internal Cordavis teams to meet contract requirements
* Coordinating essential meetings, such as sales and operations (S&OP) and joint steering committee (JSC) meetings
* Explaining/discussing contract terms and conditions with senior leaders
* Preparing requests for proposal (RFP) and identifying parameters, specifications, and requirements
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field required; MBA preferred
* 8 or more years' experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or managed care which may include PBM or specialty pharmacy or health plan practice or contracting
* Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access experience is required

* Strategic vision and critical thinking capacity and the creative ability to work across key business units
* Experience driving complex contract negotiations, successful completion of contracts, and handling multiple contractual relationships to include direct contact with key decision-makers
* Solid verbal and written communication skills
