Job Description:
Responsibilities:
1. Provide guidance & vision on the latest security practices, tools, & technology for the advancement & refinement of the Global security environment.
2. Assess security risks & make recommendations for new applications & design secure solutions.
3. Provide technical support & 2nd level services in the areas of network, security & telephony infrastructure to IT staff both local & globally.
4. Perform network, security & telephony hardware failure diagnosis and manage field service for resolution.
5. Evaluate network, security & telephony hardware/software for standards-based implementation at sites worldwide.
6. Manage full end-to-end, client to server communication reliability & performance.
7. Perform network, security & telephony device software problem diagnosis & implement bug fixes/workarounds.
8. Select, configure & install network as well as security hardware, options & software.
9. Develop & maintain standard procedures for installation & maintenance of network, security & telephony systems software.
10. Develop, implement & test, network & security recovery mechanisms.
11. Install, configure & maintain network & security infrastructure services.
12. Install, configure & maintain network devices i.e., firewalls, routers, Layer 2/3 switches, wireless controllers & access points.
13. Solid understanding of network protocols, standards, & technology such as IP address management, dynamic routing protocols, OSPF, BGP, IP, TCP, UDP, Spanning Tree, QOS & VPNs.
14. Conceptual knowledge of emerging network, telephony & server optimization and management technologies.
15. Develop project plans, capital spending authorization requests & manage projects for implementation of new network, telephony & software technologies on both local & global levels.
16. Work with the server and network management team leads to coordinate the priorities & efforts of the server network systems staff to complete assignments & projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent combination of formal technical education.
2. Minimum 5+ years relevant experience.
3. Strong knowledge & experience with Microsoft, Cisco, UCaaS technologies focused on large scale enterprise deployments.
4. Strong knowledge & experience with enterprise class LAN & WAN devices such as firewalls, switches, and routers.
5. Strong background in networking. Must have working experience with some, or all of the following protocols: BGP, OSPF, 802.1Q, STP, Ethernet, IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, and SNMP.
6. Functional knowledge in Software Defined Networking.
7. Functional knowledge in SD-WAN technologies & management.
8. Knowledge of WAN & LAN concepts, network security, network optimization, performance monitoring, system resiliency, server backup & recovery, workstation connectivity, & Internet connectivity.
9. Experience with solutions for monitoring network & telephony performance, reliability & stability.
