SEO Manager Job Type: Full-Time, Cork Based
Our sister company SquareFish is currently recruiting for the position of SEO Manager. This is a full-time, permanent position based in County Cork.
About SquareFish
SquareFish is a small entrepreneurial company based in Cork. We work with a range of companies, from tech to travel to engineering, acting as a full business partner, not just an external supplier.
About the position
We’re looking for an experienced SEO Manager to lead two projects — PureVolt Solar (solar panel installations) and Engineers with Drones (drone inspections). Prior experience in these industries is not required—our marketing and sales teams are knowledgeable and eager to share their insights.
The main areas you'll be in charge of are SEO and CRO for these projects, with a small PPC aspect. You will be directly responsible for the online growth and maintenance of these projects, collaborating with our web-dev team and reporting directly to our head of SEO.
What we're looking for
* Proven SEO Expertise: A deep understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and technical SEO.
* Website Analytics: Ability to track the effectiveness of strategies and overall digital marketing performance.
* Leadership Skills: Ability to lead projects, mentor, and maximize the contributions of our web dev/coding team.
* Hands-On Approach: Willingness to implement SEO strategies directly, including writing code and editing websites.
* Innovative Mindset: A critical thinker who seeks evidence and logic in decision-making, identifying new opportunities and improvements.
Skills & experience required
* 5+ Years of SEO Experience: Must include leading at least one SEO project in a competitive field.
* Technical Skills: Hands-on coding and troubleshooting experience. Training is available, but if coding scares you, this is not the position for you.
* Analytical Abilities: Confident with website analysis tools for SEO and CRO, such as Google Analytics.
Key responsibilities
* SEO: Create and take full responsibility for the SEO strategy of projects, making data-driven decisions to achieve top rankings.
* Collaboration & Training: Advise and collaborate with internal teams, sharing SEO best practices and conducting website audits.
* Keyword Research & Analytics: Conduct thorough keyword research and engagement tracking to refine content strategy.
* Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on industry trends and SEO advancements.
* CRO: Design and implement CRO strategies to increase online engagement and conversion.
* PPC: A small aspect only; no experience required, but a willingness to learn is essential.
* Hands-On Website Optimization: Use coding skills to address technical SEO challenges, collaborating with our web development team.
Salary, hours & location
* Based in: Office in Marina Commercial Park, Cork City. Once fully up to speed, a hybrid model is possible, though a minimum of 50% of time must be spent in the office long-term.
* Start date: Flexible, to suit you.
* Working Hours: Flexible; majority of hours should overlap with the team, but the rest can be done when suits you.
Why such a broad salary range?
We can adjust this role and salary to suit your experience and ambitions. The role described above is our minimum requirement, and fulfilling those would warrant something at the lower end of the scale. If you have significantly more experience and seek a larger, more challenging role, please still talk to us.
Assessing us
We want you to have all the information necessary to see if we are the right company for you. This is a two-way process, and we expect you to assess us too.
There will be time throughout the recruitment process for you to ask questions. If you have queries before applying, please reach out.
If you’d like to have a 10-minute informal chat about the role, drop us a note at jobs@squarefish.ie, and we’ll call you back. If you’d like to chat with a current team member not involved in recruitment, please ask; this can be done confidentially.
Closing date for applications: End of Sunday, December 8th 2024
