Title: Payroll Specialist
My client is a European healthcare group, with operations around Ireland. They are currently recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join their Irish headquarters in West Dublin.
The Job:
1. Manage end-to-end monthly payroll and expenses, ensuring accuracy and deadlines.
2. Ensure compliance with tax laws, pension contributions, BIK, and statutory obligations.
3. Process payroll changes (new hires, terminations, promotions, salary adjustments, overtime).
4. Prepare and submit statutory returns (P30, P35, P60, P45) per Revenue requirements.
5. Respond to employee payroll queries and resolve issues promptly.
6. Ensure correct processing of payroll deductions (pensions, benefits).
7. Conduct payroll audits and rectify discrepancies.
8. Assist with year-end reporting and ensure accurate payslips/statements.
9. Produce monthly payroll reports for accounting.
10. Stay updated on payroll legislation and best practices in healthcare.
The Person:
1. IPASS Accreditation is essential.
2. 3+ years proven experience in payroll processing, with a strong understanding of Irish payroll legislation and tax regulations.
3. Familiarity with pension schemes and benefits administration.
4. Excellent attention to detail, with strong organisational and communication skills.
5. A high degree of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Knowledge of Irish payroll software and systems (e.g., Thesaurus, Sage, or similar).
