About the Job
Here at Ardmac we pride ourselves on being the contractor of choice for great clients and the workplace of choice for great people. We are currently looking for a safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) advisor based on an exciting project in Sunderland. The role of the SHEQ Advisor is to promote and facilitate the Ardmac Safety first guiding principles through the implementation of the Ardmac management systems while ensuring compliance to statutory obligations and ISO standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Effective task planning
2. Ensuring subcontractors are prequalified prior to works commencing
3. Checking documentation for adequacy and advising project staff in the development and maintenance of construction phases and Project quality Plans and H&S files.
4. Coordination and management of pre-commencement meetings
5. Attend and actively participate in Ardmac SLT meetings when required
6. Ownership and leadership
7. Complete project weekly SHEQ audits
8. Liaise with client representatives and assist as required with contract reviews
Experience:
1. DIP OHS
2. Knowledge of OHS best practice
3. Experience using Microsoft Office
