What will you be doing?
In this role you will work with POS (point-of-sale) retail data. You will work on a team that will identify product information, attributes and characteristics needed for trend analysis and update our proprietary software systems accordingly. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, timeliness and integrity of the company’s data and products. You will identify, investigate and edit POS data for assigned categories and/or retailers. You will work closely with a team to deliver collective targets as well as individual objectives.
Job Responsibilities
1. Work in a team that will add and match retailer POS records within the company’s proprietary database based on industry rules
2. Ensuring the delivery of quality, timely raw data files, according to production schedules
3. Improving accurate attribute editing and quality data deliveries for assigned categories and the industry
4. Strong focus on achieving set deliverables which includes, immediate incident reporting, and appropriate communication of data issues – seeing them to a successful conclusion
5. Being innovative and curious in your work. Always evaluating ways to improve work quality, speed or practices which improve results, not just on the data but within the team
6. Managing multiple categories/retailer assignments – constant questioning of the data and the processes currently in place – always looking for better ways of working, across teams and functions thorough increased collaboration
7. Foreseeing and escalating potential issues before they arise and troubleshooting
8. Having a broader awareness and understanding about the implications of any actions taken on our data – understanding the process multiple steps ahead and possible future implications to changes made to our data set
9. Fostering and demonstrating collaboration, team working and flexibility to ensure that changing priorities are met. Adding to a positive work environment for all, while delivering on projects and standard production work
Requirements
10. Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Marketing, Business, or related field
11. 3-5 years experience preferred in market research or retail environment
12. MS Office knowledge, advanced Excel a plus
