Since then, Lab126 has produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Echo, and Dash Button.
The Device OS team plays a significant role in creating these innovative devices at Lab126, providing the core OS, platform, features, and components. We are currently looking for a Systems Development Engineer II to help us bring our vision into reality and solve real-world challenges that will transform our customers' experiences in ways we cannot even imagine yet.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Development Engineer II to join our team. As a member of this team, you will technically contribute to building and delivering T1 cloud services for Device OS. You will implement technical initiatives identified in the roadmap of multi-year business-critical cloud technology solutions, which will be rolled out across millions of devices.
You will work on technical initiatives to optimize cost across various AWS environments, manage availability, latency, and performance of mission-critical services, and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. You will collaborate closely with Platform and application teams to ensure the highest level of quality for the Device OS deliverable.
Key Responsibilities
* Create the required infrastructure on AWS through CDK.
* Perform weekly deployments independently.
* Monitor the system, application health, and perform first-level triaging, troubleshooting.
* Automate day-to-day manual tasks.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
* Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
* Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
* Experience programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, C, or C++.
* Experience with Linux/Unix.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience with distributed systems at scale.
Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
