Senior NPD Officer
Job Purpose: This role entails managing specific senior accounts to ensure the successful delivery of new products from concept approval through to launch, including the planning and execution of trials. The role supports the Head of NPD and NPD Manager in coordinating the New Product Development (NPD) function to prioritize projects and execute NPD strategies effectively.

Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:
Acting as the voice of the customer to ensure their NPD needs are met in accordance with company policies and strategies.
Overseeing the weekly NPD trial plan to execute trials and bring new products from concept to completion via the stage-gated New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
Setting targets aligned with the critical path for conducting trials and testing new product/raw materials.
Managing new products through the New Product Implementation process to ensure successful market launches.
Leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance current products and drive business value.
Conducting market research on pet food, new ingredients, and emerging legislation to evolve product offerings in response to consumer trends and regulatory changes.
Ensuring new product development aligns with HACCP/HARPC system requirements to maintain food safety standards.
Collaborating effectively with departments such as Marketing, Sales, Production, Maintenance, Administration, Technical, and Purchasing to advance NPD/NPI processes.
Proactively managing NPD projects in accordance with company policies and strategies.
Understanding and interpreting EU and export market legislation, adapting strategies as needed to overcome regulatory barriers.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in the food industry or a related field.
B.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutritional Science, or a related discipline.
Direct experience in meat processing is advantageous.
Knowledge of food/meat processing technology.
Commercial acumen and awareness.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently, self-organize, and maintain discipline.
Energetic, self-motivated, and adaptable approach to all tasks.
Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant systems.
