The successful candidate will provide administrative and executive support for the delivery of women’s and age-grade rugby programs that promote increased participation and inspire players at all levels, including coaches, referees, managers, administration, and governance.
The position is full time and is being offered on a 2 year fixed term contract basis. The role will be based at our Head Office, 10-12 Lansdowne Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, with travel around the country required.

Key Responsibilities:
Management
Provide strategic support for achieving the objectives of women’s and age-grade rugby programs.
Lead and support key projects that contribute to the organization’s strategic and operational goals.
Understand the operation and functionality of the IRFU RugbyConnect player and club registration system.
Coordinate, monitor, and report on the IRFU promotion and recruitment program "Give It a Try" and mini rugby festivals.
Research, monitor, and report on the Women’s strategy to inform decision-making and support development.
Handle administrative responsibilities, including meeting notifications, minute-taking, and document circulation for IRFU Committees and Sub-Committees.
Collect and administer information related to various IRFU Grants
Operations Support
Act as a central point of contact for clubs regarding queries and support related to national initiatives and programs, including GIAT, X7s, and Aviva Mini Rugby Festivals.
Facilitate daily operations of the Women's All-Ireland League (WAIL) and provide support for women’s teams in various competitions.
Assist with promotion and key events like; half-time teams, conferences, and other initiatives.
Work closely with the communications department and provide support for the Women’s Sub Committee.
Effective Working Relationships
Collaborate with the IRFU Head of Participation to ensure policy consistency across mini, youth, schools, and third-level rugby.
Work closely with the National Coach Development Manager and Training Manager to foster a culture that attracts and develops female coaching talent at all levels.
Partner with the Spirit Programme Manager to develop and implement programs that promote player welfare, volunteer recruitment, and leadership in women’s rugby.
Coordinate with the IRFU Competition Manager to align national competition structures with player needs, specifically addressing the Women’s AIL and Women's Senior and Age Grade interprovincial.
Engage with the IRFU Marketing & Communication department to implement initiatives that enhance the visibility of women's and age-grade rugby, increasing recruitment and retention.
Performance Measures
Support the delivery of the Women’s Strategic Plan, focusing on:
Increasing the profile of women’s rugby, leading to greater participation in both 15s and 7s formats.
Expanding the number of clubs and schools with women’s rugby teams through effective program delivery.
Growing the number of coaches and volunteers involved in women’s rugby.
Managing programs to ensure timely and on-budget delivery, while providing early warnings of any projects or programs falling behind schedule or exceeding budgets.
The salary for this role is depending on experience.
