Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Portadown (5 days per week)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:15am-5:00pm, Friday 8:30am-4:00pm
About the Role:
As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing production efficiency, reducing costs, and improving product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure high standards of health, safety, environment, and product compliance.
* Manage customer design changes through Kingspan's Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.
* Design and implement new systems, equipment, and processes to drive continuous improvement.
* Analyse production data, including downtime, cycle times, and waste management to identify areas for optimisation.
* Oversee new tool transitions, including designing jigs, tooling, and liaising with toolmakers to ensure seamless integration.
* Review and optimise manufacturing costs and production efficiency to achieve maximum productivity.
* Improve quality control processes and ensure regulatory compliance to maintain the highest standards.
* Supervise technicians and shop-floor personnel to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
* Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
* At least 5 years of experience in a rotational moulding/automation environment.
* Proficiency in Solid Works/Draft Sight or Auto CAD, with the ability to read technical drawings.
* Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and customer specification interpretation.
* Strong project management and communication skills.
* Desirable: Project Management qualifications.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication, and tool design.
