Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer - Instrumentation and Controls Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our operations team, diagnosing process faults, and ensuring compliance with current legislation and plant safety and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fault finding and rectification for instrumentation systems
* Diagnose process faults and failures
* Maintain, repair, and inspect instrumentation, electrical, and control equipment
* Provide technical support to operations teams
* Carry out unplanned maintenance as instructed
* Conduct receipt verifications on new instruments
* Perform bench test calibrations
* Loop checking and testing instruments and verifying cabling
* Maintain accurate inspection and test records
* Assist operations in diagnosing process problems and failures
* Suggest continuous improvement ideas
* Maintain documentation in compliance with GAMP and FDA
* Read and understand technical manuals and engineering documentation
* Work within a team and have the initiative to self-resolve issues
* Literacy in computer operating systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD
* Ability to work to tight schedules and achieve targets
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
* At least 3 years' experience in electrical engineering and instrumentation
* Excellent knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
* Experience working with instrumentation and control systems
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to read and understand technical manuals and engineering documentation
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Certifications: ATEX certification preferred
Salary: €55,000 - €65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
