We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join an established manufacturing company selling in the construction, industrial, and retail sectors. This is a full-time, permanent position covering the Leinster Region. The Area Sales Manager will drive and nurture sales, develop sales strategies, and expand the market share. The ideal candidate will come from a background in technical sales and specification work in the construction/building industry.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement short, mid, and long-term sales strategies.
* Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
* Monitor and analyse portfolio performance, addressing underperformance proactively.
* Lead Area Sales contact for key customers, ensuring high satisfaction, prompt query responses, and managing complaints.
* Identify and win new sales opportunities.
* Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs for allocated accounts and products.
* Monitor the market, understand competition, create a competitive edge, and convey business goals into sales results.
Requirements:
* Proven successful experience in a technical sales role.
* Experience selling to construction, glazing, façade industries is desirable.
* Analytical with good presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently, using own initiative to organise, plan and complete own tasks.
* Ambitious and driven attitude.
* IT literate – Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
