We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Technician to join our team in Dublin.
This role can be available in day or night shift:
JOB SUMMARY:
This role is required to assist the Quality Engineering function as technical support in issues affecting manufacturing, to support and drive corrective action efforts and to support the drive for continuous improvement at Jabil.
Key Responsibilities and End Results:
* Verify material conformance to specifications. Interprets company and industrial specifications.
* Gather and maintain specific records of technical data related to materials, tools, fixtures and processes used in company.
* Assist inspectors as first point of contact for defects and issues.
* Collect and analyze data using statistical analysis methods.
* Assist Quality Engineers with follow up on the execution of Engineering Change Notice (ECN) and Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA).
* Review non-conformance material and products.
* Support production with troubleshooting and defect resolution.
* Ensure capability studies are performed on critical processes.
* Perform first article inspection, review visual aids, and make updates to inspection visual aids.
* Perform defect analysis reporting.
* Perform line and product audits.
* Assist Quality Engineering in application of Advance Quality Planning (AQP).
* Implement the Layered Process Audit (LPA) and Quick Response Quick Control (QRQC) process and monitor effectiveness.
* Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
* Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum Diploma in Quality or a related discipline. May substitute educational requirements in lieu of experience.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a Quality related role.
* Previous experience implementing and supporting internal audits and monitoring their effectiveness.
* Minimum Quality Technician I level for at least 6-12 months.
* Supervisory experience is highly advantageous but not essential.
* Strong planning & organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
Desired Criteria:
* BS/BA degree in Manufacturing Technology / Mechanical Engineering / Electronics / Mechatronics.
* Experience in electronic manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
* Lean certification up to and including bronze level.
