Our MEP Engineering team is seeking an Associate Director, with a mechanical engineering background, to join our established team based in Dublin.This is a great opportunity for an ambitious client-facing practitioner to take a leading role on a variety of exciting projects across Ireland, with national and international opportunities also available.The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, confident individual with team leadership skills, able to deliver high profile projects to the highest standards.What you’ll do!As an Associate Director, your main responsibilities will be:Act as lead engineer for mid to large size projectsMaintain client relationships with a number of key clients.Manage a team of engineers.Undertake quality checks, and promote technical excellence.Accountable for the results of the team, and adherence to budget.Act as a mentor to other staff, and promote CPD activities.Carry out risk assessments and value engineering.Contribute to and provide information for fee proposals.Come grow with us:And let's not forget about the perks at AECOM. Take advantage of career development opportunities, our flexible hybrid working model to ensure a work-life balance that suits your lifestyle, technical practice networks, AECOM University, and volunteering days.Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?Requirements:Extensive experience in mechanical building services design.Knowledge of a wide range of market sectors.Previous experience in managing projects and small teams.The ability to provide technically sound design solutions.Experience of seeing conceptual designs through to completion and dealing directly with clients.Work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business.Relevant experience in mechanical engineering design, including areas such as specification writing, calculations, and developing designs from first principles.Full IRL Driving Licence.Software, must be conversant with: IES Hevacomp, AUTOCAD, MS Office, Revit (not essential).PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Degree in building services or Mechanical Engineering.Preferably Chartered or working towards Chartership status.Membership of CIBSE, or relevant and equivalent professional body.We celebrate diversity, including neurodiversity, and believe it enriches our team.
