Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling electrical switchgear and associated electromechanical equipment/systems to engineering drawings and production timescales. They will also apply good workmanship, ensure quality standards are maintained, and adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Working from drawings, manuals, schematics etc.
- Proven experience working on assembly of mechanical equipment and electromechanical systems.
- Contributing to fitting, building or construction of various parts to ensure a smooth process of component amalgamation.
- Good electro/mechanical skills.
- Assembly of parts or components to build a new or repeatable product.
- Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Sound knowledge of engineering tools and equipment including torquing.
- Maturity and engineering practicality.
- Adherence to Company policies and procedures.
- Ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Applying good workmanship and ensuring quality standards are met and maintained.
- Reporting any substandard/malfunction or defective parts.
- Selecting, measuring, and modifying components to ensure component fit.
- Carrying out MTOs and ordering material for allocated tasks both internal and for site works.
- Assembling prototype and development units with Supervisors and managers.
- Ensuring working environment and equipment are kept clean, tidy, and in good condition.
- Working to deadlines and strict adherence to Quality and H&S principles.
- Positive attitude, Flexible working O/T as required, and ability to fit in as part of a team.
- Performing other duties as assigned or as needed.
Desirable Experience/Qualification Criteria:
- Proven experience as an assembler of switchgear or in an equivalent engineering environment.
- Technical knowledge to read and work from drawings, Manuals, Blueprints, Schematics etc.
- Willingness to flexible working including site working/rotations.
- Ability to complete assemblies and complete associated manufacturing paperwork. Self-quality check.
- Proven track record using punches, saws, benders, hand tools etc.
