Senior Accountant Role
The company is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join its finance team in a hybrid, permanent position based in Mayo.
Responsibilities:
* Act as Financial Lead and primary finance point of contact for a manufacturing business unit.
* Provide financial support and guidance on all issues within the business unit.
* Manage month-end close activities, including production process order reconciliations, absorption analysis, overhead spend breakdown, headcount assessment, variance analysis, and narrative reporting.
* Conduct financial planning and analysis for the business unit, including monthly LBE's, annual plans, and long-range plans (LRP).
* Monitor, review, and report on key financial metrics within the business unit.
* Report on operations performance with monthly/weekly KPI's to the Senior Management Team and cross-functional departments.
* Ensure accounting and reporting procedures comply with SOX and internal control guidelines.
* Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Drive process improvement initiatives to achieve business objectives.
* Deliver full compliance with regulatory requirements, including support for external and internal audits.
* Perform variance analysis to identify deviations from plans and LBE's, enabling corrective action to be taken if necessary.
* Collaborate and maintain stakeholder relationships with cross-functional departments, including Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, etc.
Requirements:
* Hold a qualified accountancy qualification and completed professional accounting exams with a recognized accountancy body.
* Possess a third-level qualification in business or accounting.
* Have proven experience working with a fast and dynamic finance team.
* Prior experience in a manufacturing environment or multinational organization is preferred.
* SAP experience is also preferred.
