Job Description & Skills Required
Job Responsibilities:
1. Full responsibility for the Onboarding & Offboarding process.
2. Supporting the delivery of a complete onboarding & offboarding programme.
3. Assisting in and conducting research for other onboarding initiatives, using tangible data to inform the structure and building of additional induction resources.
4. Communicating onboarding progress to hiring managers and key stakeholders, offering solutions for onboarding issues and adopting a continuous improvement approach.
5. Maintain a superior working knowledge of current onboarding and offboarding legislation (probation period, unfair dismissals, retirements) and employer responsibilities, informing management of changes needed before they arise.
6. Monitoring the onboarding process to ensure the experience is positive for the employee and hiring manager, ensuring all new hires are set up in HR systems and processed by payroll in a timely manner.
7. Full responsibility for leavers, ensuring all employees are removed from HR systems and processed by payroll in a timely manner, ensuring all the offboarding experience is positive for the employee.
8. Liaising with vendors to ensure employees (leavers) are removed from their listings.
9. Communicating offboarding (retirement, general leavers) progress to managers and key stakeholders, offering solutions for offboarding issues and adopting a continuous improvement approach.
10. Managing relevant ad hoc projects, ensuring that BAU activity is managed simultaneously.
11. Assisting in creating and revising HR policies to ensure they are consonant with the latest regulations, including onboarding and offboarding policies to support our employees.
12. Assisting with embedding our new HRIS system in the business, becoming a super user to support our employees.
13. Working as part of a connected HR team to drive forward our crucial HR processes and deliverables in relation to employee engagement, EVP, and well-being.
14. Acting as a stakeholder in Manor Homecare Onboarding and Offboarding Service, managing records and tracking the most recent updates for employees.
15. Answering general queries on the HR Helpdesk phone line or via the HR People Services mailbox in a professional and prompt manner.
16. Supporting senior staff across the HR department under various projects.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
1. 2-3 years experience in a similar role.
2. Experience in the creation of policies.
3. Advanced Excel skills for reporting on metrics.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Experience working in a busy department with multiple responsibilities.
6. Genuine desire to resolve employee issues in a professional and timely manner.
